F.A.Q

Is the ranking mandatory?

Star rating is voluntary , but highly recommended. It is, however, essential to benefit from certain advantages: tax exemption for furnished tourist accommodations, application of a fixed rate for tourist tax, acceptance of ANCV holiday vouchers, inclusion in official guides, etc.

How long is a ranking valid?

The ranking awarded by Atout France is valid for 5 years . At the end of this period, you must renew the application to maintain your ranking. This is the perfect opportunity to assess the quality of your offering, or even aim for a higher level.

How much does a ranking cost?

The cost varies depending on the type of accommodation:
• Furnished tourism : about 160 € HT
• Hotels and campsites : about 800 € HT

Good news : The Tourist Office covers all or part of the cost (100% for a first classification or upgrade, 50% for a renewal with the same classification). See your contact person for details.

How long does a classification process take?

For tourist accommodationThe procedure is quick: you just need to count up to approximately 3 days per year according to demand.

For hotels and campsitesThe procedure can be very quick if no work is required after the preliminary audit. The expert firm will provide you with its recommendations following the preliminary audit.

What is the difference between a ranking and a label?

The official classification system, regulated by the state (stars, valid for 5 years), applies to tourist accommodations. Labels are voluntary initiatives that recognize specific commitments (bike-friendly, sustainable practices, local produce, etc.). The two systems are complementary and can be combined. For example, you could be a 4-star furnished rental property with the "Accueil Vélo" (bike-friendly) label and the Vercors Partner label.

Who is my contact person at the Tourist Office?

Depending on your type of accommodation:
• Furnished tourism → Florence Binet
• Hotels and campsites → Nicolas Bontoux

For labels (Accueil Vélo, Partner Inspiration Vercors)Contact Florence or Nicolas depending on your activity, they will guide you.

Can I hold multiple labels?

Yes, you can absolutely hold multiple labels depending on your commitments and the nature of your business. For example: a 3-star rating + the Accueil Vélo label + the Partner Vercors label. The more you highlight your commitments, the more you differentiate your offering to your customers.

How does the Tourist Office help me track my customer reviews?

The Tourist Office offers you Fairguest , a professional tool that aggregates all your customer reviews (Google, Booking, TripAdvisor, Airbnb, etc.) on a single dashboard.
