Museum Overview
Treat yourself to a break and explore the riches of the Vercors while awakening your taste buds. The program includes an ideal combination including a tour, a walk, and a delicious lunch in a gourmet restaurant.
Step 1. Visit the Carmelite Convent
Overlooking the Isère Valley, beneath the foothills of the Vercors massif, the Couvent des Carmes and the remains of the 14th-century Dauphin's Palace form a heritage site classified as a Historic Monument. Magnificently restored in 2009, the site houses a heritage exhibition on the history of the Dauphins and the Carmelites. The unique atmosphere of the Couvent des Carmes continues outside with its light-filled courtyard, its medieval-inspired garden, and its conservatory orchard with 230 rare and ancient fruit trees.
Step 2. Carmes Restaurant
Nestled in a historic setting, the Restaurant des Carmes invites you to a true gourmet stopover, combining the generosity of local Vercors products with refined and authentic seasonal cuisine.
Step 3. Hiking in Guadeloupe
Take to the skies and discover Beauvoir-en-Royans from a different angle.
