Starting from Malleval-en-Vercors, this second stage continues the exploration of one of the most unspoiled areas of the Vercors. The trail winds through vast beech and fir forests, veritable havens of nature where calm and serenity reign. Between forest paths, sunlit clearings, and more open sections, the route gradually reveals the rich landscapes that characterize the Coulmes massif.
The omnipresent forest shelters discreet fauna and remarkable flora, making this stage a true immersion in an exceptional natural environment.
As you approach Rencurel, the landscape opens up to the valleys of the Vercors and the surrounding hills. This mountain village, crossed by the Bourne river and imbued with authenticity, offers a welcoming stop at the end of a stage where nature, heritage and tranquility blend harmoniously.
