Museum Overview
This circuit, punctuated by alternating climbs and descents, takes you from the fertile plains of Tullins to the wooded valleys of Chambaran, on a 45-kilometer route offering beautiful panoramas of the surrounding mountains.
From the center of Poliénas, or La Belle Via at kilometer 3, you begin a leisurely twelve-kilometer ride through the Tullins agricultural plain, with the northern Vercors cliffs standing out clearly in the landscape as a backdrop. This contrast between the plain and the hills sets the tone for the route.
The first climb begins in Tullins: 12 kilometers and 400 meters of elevation gain through the villages of Morette and Cras, up to Vatilieu. As the route gains altitude, it gradually reveals superb views of the Chartreuse and the northern tip of the Vercors.
The descent that follows immerses you in an atmosphere alternating between open clearings and refreshing undergrowth, towards Chantesse then L'Albenc, in the Isère valley.
A final climb of 2,5 kilometers takes you to the Pierre Brune belvedere, the final viewpoint before descending to Poliénas, thus completing a route that is as varied as it is panoramic.
