A protective case the size of a child's shell, or a fragile skiff sailing the seas, the walnut shell lends itself to the imagination. Many children's book authors have seized upon this small, rounded fruit to protect their heroes, take them on fantastic journeys around the world, or recreate wondrous universes within it…

To (re)discover these stories where the walnut plays the leading role, the Story Hut and its playful wall invite children to listen, see, smell, touch tales from yesterday to today, to dream and look at the walnut in an unusual way!
