Arthaudière Castle
Department of Isere
Museum Overview
Originally a simple fortified house, the building took on its current structure during work campaigns spanning from the Renaissance to the 19th century.
The Château reached its peak in the 1729th century when the estate, then under the possession of the de la Porte family, was elevated to a marquisate by Louis XV (XNUMX).
Take the time to appreciate in particular the Renaissance gallery and its sculptures, as well as the terraced gardens facing the Vercors, inspired by the Italian gardens of the time. The Château de l'Arthaudière has been classified as a Historic Monument since 1991.
