Guided tour of approximately 30 minutes to better understand the history of the Dauphins of Viennois at the time when Dauphiné was not yet French: remains, gardens and convent, according to your wishes.

During this flash tour, the site's mediators will give you the essential keys to understanding the dolphin site, composed of the remains of the palace and the Carmelite Convent, now an intercommunal cultural center. You will thus be able to better understand the history of the Dauphins of Viennois at a time when Dauphiné was not yet French. Humbert II, the last independent Dauphin of Viennois who negotiated the Transport of Dauphiné to the Kingdom of France, stayed very regularly in Beauvoir en Royans in his palace with 1000 windows. Festivities and banquets followed one another there. He founded the Carmelite Convent there in the XNUMXth century, which today houses exhibitions bearing witness to this little-known history.
