Guided tour of the Dauphiné site to better understand the history of the Dauphins of Viennois at a time when the Dauphiné was not yet French: remains of the old castle, gardens and former Carmelite convent founded by Humbert II in the 14th century.

Humbert II, the last independent Dauphin of Viennois, who negotiated the transfer of the Dauphiné to the Kingdom of France, resided very regularly in Beauvoir-en-Royans at his palace with its thousand windows. Feasts and banquets followed one another there. He founded the Carmelite Convent there in the 1000th century, which today houses exhibitions that bear witness to this little-known history.
