Forest Sawmill
Museum Overview
Discover the world of a century-old hardwood sawmill in the heart of the Chambaran!
The Forest sawmill, a family business founded in 1822, welcomes you to its grounds in the heart of France's largest walnut grove, halfway between Grenoble and Valence. Deliberately sourcing its timber locally, within a radius of approximately 100 km, the sawmill has naturally specialized in sawing walnut, as well as a wide variety of other hardwoods, for nearly two centuries.
Proposed by FIBOIS Isère in partnership with the Chambaran Forest Charter.
