Museum Overview

A conference at the crossroads of music, theatre and the humanities.

This show is neither a lecture, nor a concert, nor a play… but all three at once! To participate in a relaxation around the sensitive themes of identity, belonging or migration, humanities and songs.
This is the story of a humanities conference that doesn't go as planned… The themes addressed are slippery and both the speaker and the "communicator" who came to help him get tangled up in their own history… The narrative is by turns serious like a testimony of exile, didactic to provide food for thought for the spectators, grating and funny like a mirror in which we didn't think we recognized ourselves, or even poetic, like the royal road to Reason.
Drawing on sociology, psychoanalysis, philosophy, and the words so well chosen by other troubadours, from Aznavour to Tiken Jah Fakoly, by way of Juliette, Loïc Lantoine, and Brassens, the songs are rearranged around the cello, guitar, cajon, and trumpet.
We watch, with amusement, a race to social hatred, or, with focused concentration, the unveiling of contract clauses we unknowingly signed. We are dismayed by the repeated rejections and delighted by the unexpected produced by those we, in any case, didn't expect.
