Museum Overview

Family farm producing black cherries (guignes) and walnuts, which are processed into juice, jams, kirsch, cream and ratafia, with direct sales at the farm.

The Guilhermet Farm, run by Sébastien Brites, is an agricultural operation specializing in the cultivation of black cherries called guignes and walnuts. This farm focuses on processing its fruit: the cherries are pressed to obtain 100% natural and pure juice, and are also used to make jams, kirsch (48°), cherry cream (20°) and cherry ratafia (16° aperitif).

The farm practices cherry picking from mid-June, and production is adapted to climatic constraints and the specific needs of the trees, particularly in terms of watering and phytosanitary protection.

The farm also makes use of co-products: cherry pits are recovered after fermentation, cleaned and sorted for reuse, for example in the manufacture of cushions.

Finally, Ferme Guilhermet values sales through short supply chains, which allows for direct contact with consumers and local promotion of its produce.
