Family farm in Varacieux producing Montbéliarde milk for the Saint-Marcellin IGP sector and committed to an environmentally friendly approach.

GAEC Sully is a farm based in Varacieux, established in 1992, managed by Bruno Neyroud, Jean-Pierre Détroyat and Cédric Giroud. It raises around sixty Montbéliarde dairy cows, whose milk is supplied each year to local cheese dairies for the production of Saint-Marcellin IGP.

This farm has been part of the Saint-Marcellin IGP sector since 2013, an emblematic cheese of the Dauphiné region made from cow's milk, renowned for its creamy texture and generous flavor.

The farm pays particular attention to its environmental impact by prioritizing local self-sufficiency, reducing tractor traffic in the fields, using green waste as fertilizer and heating buildings with wood.

GAEC Sully is also involved in the life of the sector: its president is one of the actors on the Saint-Marcellin PGI committee, which testifies to its commitment to the promotion and quality of this traditional cheese.
