1900, Pont-en-Royans. Night falls, the street lights light up little by little thanks to the electricity fairy. Joseph, controller of the street lights, takes you with him on his tour. Become his assistant and discover the history and life of the village in 1900!

1900, beginning of the XNUMXth century, in Pont-en-Royans. Night falls, little by little the street lights light up in the village thanks to the electricity fairy. The street light controller is about to make his rounds to see if everything is in order. His name: Joseph. But he needs assistants for his tour which he doesn't like to do alone.
Go to Rue du Merle where the first street light to control awaits you.
Joseph is a man from 1900 who sees his village change over the years. He talks about the electricity which has conquered all the houses and streets of the village. Before that, he was a streetlight scout and had to turn them on in the evening and turn them off in the morning. Now everything is automatic, but he was appointed controller because some evenings the street lights don't light up as they should.
You are facing hanging houses, so impressive and fragile. Who attract the attention of new people: tourists. Joseph tells you about the construction of roads and the wonder that this represented in his time.
It takes you to the Grande Rue with its shops, the traffic jams, the bridge, the passage of timber trucks.
The tour continues at the market square where commerce and daily life mingle. As you go up into the village, you pass through Rue du Temple where intense battles once took place. By the Chemin de la Corbeille which gradually climbs towards the Bérenger-Sassenage castle. The Chemin du Bourg where hawkers and hikers circulate.
Joseph arrives in the neighborhood of his childhood: that of the Porte de l'Horloge and its circulation of carts and street vendors. Until the extension of the Grande Rue in the middle of the 19th century.
Your steps lead you to the Porte de France: the entrance to the village... in the past. Its hotels, the crowded passage and the history of Dauphiné parade before your eyes. Joseph is taking a break from his tour, he wants to show you an astonishing establishment. The Bonnard hotel: a vacation spot for tourists traveling the roads of the Vercors. Joseph is surprised by these people traveling for pleasure, tourism and talks about the hotel and his daily life.
The tour ends with Place du Breuil, its silk factory and the fairs. But Joseph cannot resist showing you the river: the Bourne. And how we produce electricity thanks to the force of its current. What if this was the future?
