Presentation

Bob ten Hoope lived in Royans while pursuing a career in the Netherlands. From the landscapes of the Vercors to sketched portraits, the route of the exhibition reflects a rich work rooted in the territory.

In 2024, the exhibition is partly renewed. This is an opportunity to discover works which, until now, had been lying dormant in storage. The artist's themes remain good. The artist's favorite themes remain well represented: the landscapes of the Vercors, scenes of life in the village of Pont-en-Royans or even nudes moving in a shimmering setting. A new theme is also offered thanks to a set of works, oils or watercolors, representing fishing ports.
This new presentation includes works from the new donation from the Stichting Vrienden van Bob ten Hoope foundation to Saint-Marcellin Vercors Isère Communauté, but also loans from private collectors.
