Presentation

In this touching and sensitive solo, which combines dance, video-mapping, poetry and song, Abdou N'Gom sets out in search of exploration and questions.

Meaning “mom” in Wolof – the official language of Senegal – Yaay is a tribute to the one who gave up all her bearings to ensure better days for her son. Abdou N'Gom also pays homage to Senegal, his native land, where he was born and left for France at the age of two, a land both foreign and familiar for the artist.

In this touching and sensitive solo, which combines dance, video-mapping, poetry and song, Abdou N'Gom sets out in search of exploration and questions.

In previous seasons, you were able to discover Our Incessant Movements and Reverse|Se Rêver. Yaay is the last piece in this triptych, entitled Yaakaar.
