Presentation

Since 1942, the Etoile du Vercors cheese dairy has perpetuated the traditional production of two regional specialties made from cow's milk: Saint-Marcellin IGP, tender and characteristic, and Saint-Félicien, soft and creamy.

The Étoile du Vercors cheese dairy, located in Saint-Just-de-Claix in Isère, was created by Marius Berruyer in 1942 and employs 145
employees. It takes its name from its geographical location at the foot of the Vercors mountain range, straddling the
departments of Isère and Drôme. The cheese dairy specializes in the production and ripening of 2 authentic Dauphiné specialties: Saint-Marcellin IGP and Saint-Félicien. The milk is collected there every 48 hours, from 69 cow producers.
dairy products, including 46 PGI certified and 10 Organic Farming certified. During production, each cheese is ladled, salted and turned by hand. They are then matured in ripening rooms ventilated by natural air, then meticulously selected by our cheese makers. A traditional know-how to which the cheese dairy has always been able to remain faithful, and a guarantee of real quality.
