Presentation

At Binettes et Compagnie, the cultivation and transformation of products harvested in the garden and orchard cultivated in permaculture, are an opportunity for people with mental disabilities or not, to share convivial moments together.

Located in the center of the village of St Antoine l'Abbaye, the garden cultivated in permaculture is the heart of the life of the association: accompanied by a garden leader, the volunteers, with or without disabilities, participate in the cultivation, harvesting and processing vegetables from the garden and fruits from the orchard (located just outside the village). These products are sold on site and in some nearby markets.

The garden also welcomes groups of people with disabilities, children or adults, from medico-social establishments in the area, as well as more occasionally, school groups.

The association regularly offers discovery workshops on permaculture, tree pruning, or compost, open to everyone, on Saturdays or during the week. During the week, processing workshops (jams, dehydrated fruit) are also open to people who wish to join the usual volunteers.
On certain Wednesdays it is possible to participate in cooking workshops and share a balanced, seasonal meal, in a friendly atmosphere.
And on Tuesdays twice a month there are Zen hikes in the village, suitable for everyone, led by a sports instructor.

This garden and the orchard are intended to be visited by anyone passing through, the volunteers on site will be happy to show you their place of healing, the products they have made and the other projects of the association.
