La Halle is a unique and valuable place for the dissemination of contemporary art in rural areas and is also a research and experimentation center for artists.
Established since 1986, within the Vercors Natural Park, the Halle has a dual nature: the same place hosts both a Contemporary Art Center and a Media Library.

The building, located on the site of the hanging houses - listed as heritage, has taken on the historical name of the hall since it was established on the former site of the halls, destroyed during the Second World War. La Halle is now a unique and atypical place, built between rock and water.

The Art Center is a place dedicated to contemporary creation and guided by the desire to present different facets of current art. Quality exhibitions as well as various artistic education and mediation projects for all ages punctuate the cultural offering each year.
La Halle works alongside artists in exhibition projects that are always new. It supports contemporary creation through the production of new works and the promotion of artists and their work.
The programming is always varied: it alternates between collective exhibitions and monographic or specific projects in situ or linked to the territory, its history and its particularities.
La Halle offers its audiences various types of visits and regular events. These participatory moments allow for meetings and exchanges. Visit the exhibition with a new eye!
