From the Isère Valley in the north to the Diois in the south, the Vercors massif offers a wide variety of breathtaking panoramas and is home to remarkable fauna and flora with 8 Natura 2000 classified sites and 18 sensitive natural areas. Among the emblematic natural sites: the Mont Aiguille, the Grand Veymont, the highest point of the massif, the Gorges de la Bourne, the circus of Combe-Laval, the Balcons Est du Vercors. Not to mention, the largest nature reserve in France "the Reserve of the Hauts Plateaux du Vercors": a heart of protected wilderness of 17 hectares which can only be visited on foot.

High limestone cliffs, gorges and canyons, chasms and caves, high plateaus, green valleys, mountain pastures and forests... To better enjoy all the natural treasures available to you, the professionals offer you many outdoor activities for every taste.

Some will like to cross the Vercors on foot, on horseback or by mountain bike, while thrill seekers will prefer rock climbing, via ferrata, canyoning, caving or paragliding. The many resorts present throughout the massif also welcome you in winter for downhill skiing, Nordic skiing, ski touring or snowshoeing.

More than 4000 kilometers of marked trails allow both amateur and sporty hikers to discover the massif. A short walk or a bigger effort to cross the Vercors in the refuges, there are hiking routes accessible to the whole family.

Vercors Great Crossings routes, long-distance hiking trails, country tours... the Vercors can be discovered alone or accompanied, over a few hours or several days, on foot, by mountain bike, on horseback and even with a donkey!
