Presentation

You will travel on the old tramway line which linked Saint-Marcellin to Lyon, at a maximum speed of 35km/hour. Created in 1897, it was dismantled in 1937.

Its spectacular route winds up the hill before entering a 71 meter long tunnel. Nearby, don't miss the Saint-Jean-le-Fromental chapel in Dionay dating from the XNUMXth century and which has the oldest bell in Dauphiné.

Departure from Dionay, parking below the church behind the Fountain. Take direction Pinet, then Grand Grange to Chapelle Redon (possibility of picnicking with tables). Then take the PR on the right which goes down to Cul de Perette (the place has the shape of an inverted basin, called Perette). From there, you can go see the Chapelle Saint-Jean-le-Fromental by adding 1km round trip. Return to the car park via Pinet.
