Presentation
Come and meet the women and men who work every day of the year to produce our little cow's milk cheese: Saint-Marcellin IGP.
Registration required, limited number of places.
The Rochas family's artisanal cheese dairy, newly established in Saint-Sauveur, has quickly become essential. You will understand the process of transforming raw milk into Saint-Marcellin IGP thanks to the explanations of Laurie and Florien, owners of the place. The Rochas cheese factory has a team of 7 people who daily process milk from 2 dairy producers located in Saint-Romans and Bessins, in the IGP zone.

In 2024, we will celebrate the first 10 candles of obtaining this European quality sign, essential for the sector. The IGP, or Protected Geographical Indication, guarantees century-old know-how and makes it possible to anchor the breeding and manufacturing of cheese in a specific territory.
On this occasion, many dairy farms and cheese factories throughout the IGP zone open their doors to you and welcome you for a moment of sharing and discovery.
The visit to the farm and the cheese dairy will be followed by a snack based on Saint-Marcellin IGP of course. The Committee for Saint-Marcellin will surprise you with new forms of tasting that you could never have imagined.
