On the occasion of the now unmissable meeting for garden lovers, the Couvent des Carmes gives pride of place to the five senses, the theme of the year 2024, with taste tours, workshops, readings and musical wandering.

We will leave the medieval garden with a free apple juice from the artisanal production of Fruits Recovered then Perrine Hautecoeur will take you to the honey garden to learn everything about bees and taste the region's honey (30 min round trip walk; bring comfortable shoes).

>>> Between 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.: The little-known powers of plants
Two-person tour of the medieval-inspired garden to discover the unsuspected powers of plants. Explanations, sensory tests, anecdotes about the plants present: herbs, flowers and roots can delight us, heal us and inspire us! With Catherine Duboucher, farmer in charge of the Couvent garden and Véronique Thiery, biologist and naturalist guide of the Vercors.

>>> 14 p.m. – 16:30 p.m.: Workshop “Collecting and manufacturing vegetable inks”
With Véronique Thiery, discover dye and textile plants to make colored inks from garden plants.

>>> 15 p.m.: animation led by the Fruits Recovered around the “Alain pond” named after its initiator.
Observation of insects, grass snakes, newts and frogs... This small educational pond accompanies the conservatory orchard of the Couvent des Carmes in order to observe "little creatures" such as dragonflies, tadpoles and salamanders.
This pond is a source of water for birds fond of small predators, grass snakes which feed on voles and, for frogs, mosquitoes. It undoubtedly contributes to the biodiversity of the site.

A literary and musical stroll between the remains of the castle, the medieval-inspired garden and the little-known viewpoints of the medieval site of Beauvoir, eyes and ears wide open...or closed! With Violaine Soulier, viola and Prune Vellot, readings.

All day long, a reading corner will be accessible for everyone to lounge around and read texts under the trees that smell of wild herbs and tell us a little of the love we have for gardens. With Pass'thèque network of intercommunal media libraries.
