Vercorde is an office of plateau instructors specializing in climbing, caving and canyoning.

6 passionate state-certified instructors guide you on the cliffs and in the canyons and caves of the Vercors, for initiation, improvement or long-term learning, the discovery of novelties or the visit of classic sites.

Vercorde is a group of state-certified climbing and canyoning professionals, all self-employed and members of the Syndicat Local Vercorde.

Vercorde was born from the disappearance in July 2000 of Dimension 4, an outdoor activities management structure which introduced climbing and canyoning to the Vercors in the 1990s.

Two instructors from "Sun 4" Alain Pons, "old fox of the cliffs" and Vincent Merieux, "young over-motivated", decide to organize themselves when the structure closes. The opening of a joint account(!) and the loyalty of a few customers allowed them to begin a fairly confidential and unorthodox season.

Soon joined by François Grain, Simon Pourqué and Olivier Dutel, Vercorde is structured legally and develops a unique type of service that echoes the educational concerns of certain customers, as well as the sensitivity of Vercorde executives attached to a certain climbing ethic. : offer several sessions in cycles with follow-ups and real teaching; far from the zapping of multiactivity.

Added to this is a fairly atypical operation since each member of Vercorde is individually responsible for the management and interface of one or more customers; he then ensures communication with them and the organization of meetings with Vercorde executives. The structure is joined by three other permanent staff with the departure of François to other heights: Véro Piéri and Simon Favre.

All Vercorde executives share the same passion for climbing that they intend to spread throughout the Vercors where they live year-round.

For this all means are good. Such as the equipment of routes for all levels, from extreme to initiation (at Pierrot Beach, Presles, the Auberge Espagnole, Lans en Vercors, La Goulandière...). And the all-round supervision (training of climbing instructors, tourists, Vercors climbing club, classes...) and above all climbing as much as possible.
