Presentation

Between Drôme des collines and the Galaure valley, discover the Chambaran plateau located in the heart of a 33 ha forest. You will pass through many small towns where adobe houses adorn their facades of bricks and rolled pebbles.

From Saint-Marcellin on the Place du Champ de Mars, take the D27 towards Chatte, then St-Antoine-l'Abbaye, a pretty medieval village and its Gothic abbey, to reach the Col de la Madeleine.
From there, descend towards Le Cabaret-Neuf via the D67 and the Herbasse valley via Saint-Bonnet-de-Vaclérieux and Crépol for a small incursion into the Drôme department.
At Cabaret-Neuf, turn right onto the D538 to reach Hauterives where the Postman Cheval erected his ideal palace in the last century.
The return to Isère will be via the Galaure D51 valley to Montfalcon, then take the D156d to Viriville and the D156c to Marnans and Roybon.
Return to Saint-Marcellin by the D71, in the heart of the Chambaran forest, paradise for mushroom pickers.
