Presentation

A festival for everyone in the heart of a medieval village. Since 2004, the Textes en l'air festival has offered everyone 5 days and 5 nights of celebration around words to discover, meet, exchange, vibrate, laugh, dance...

Facing the cliffs of the Vercors, between Valence and Grenoble, nestles one of the “most beautiful villages in France”: Saint-Antoine-l'Abbaye.

It is in this place of history that the Festival Textes en l'air has been creating friction between the stones of yesterday and the writings of today for 19 years, defending the idea that heritage is a heritage that must stay alive.

Theatre, readings, poetic peregrinations, open-air concerts, plastic arts, conferences, aperitif-meetings, writing workshops... 5 days and 5 nights of words jostled, read, sung, clashed, spaced between high walls, courtyards and gardens.

One of the principles of the festival is to promote proximity between artists and festival-goers. No order service, no anti-riot barriers: here, between shows, everyone gathers around the same bar to drink, the same table to eat... Meetings, discussions, exchanges between those of the stage and those in the room.
